The 2021 Pure Silk Championship was a women’s professional golf tournament that was held from May 20–23, 2021 at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was the tenth edition of the Pure Silk Championship and the third event on the 2021 LPGA Tour.
Wei-Ling Hsu from Taipei, China shot 68 in the final round which totaled under 13, and win her first LPGA championship by two strokes. Thailand’s Moriya Jutanugarn, who lead with Hsu Wei Ling going into the final round, was alone in second place, with Jessica Korda from America in third.

Wei-Ling is 26 years old this year and had never won a championship in the LPGA tour before. However, in this year’s Pure Silk Championship, she worked hard to climb a milestone in her professional career. On the first day of the competition, she delivered a good score of 66 strokes, hitting 5 birdies without bogeys, taking the lead. Although her performance slipped slightly in the second round, with a score of 72 strokes and a drop to T5 in the rankings, Wei-Ling obviously did not want to miss the opportunity to win her first professional championship. In the third round of the competition, she bounced back strongly, hitting a good score of 65 strokes, tied for the lead with Thai famous player, Moriya Jutanugarn, and both entered the final round.
In the final round, Wei-Ling’s performance on the first 13 holes was not particularly impressive, with three birdies and three bogeys. However, she suddenly had a breakthrough in the later part of the game. First, on the 15th hole, she successfully scored an eagle, and then followed it up with a birdie on the 16th hole. This brought her total score to -13. At the same time, Thai veteran Moriya Jutanugarn, who had been trailing closely behind, had a double bogey on the 15th hole, and was left far behind by Wei-Ling.
